One year after introducing the multi-dimensional character of Dr. Ryan Chamberlain on General Hospital, Jon Robert Lindstrom created his endearing twin brother Dr. Kevin Collins. Keeping in line with the nature of Daytime, Dr. Collins learned he had a daughter, Livvie Locke from a previous relationship. In late December, 2001 he re-married his soulmate Lucy Coe. Lucy and Kevin often assume the role of town detectives, placing themselves in harm's way.
Born in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Lindstrom attended the University of Oregon where he studied theater and music. Upon graduation Mr. Lindstrom moved to Los Angeles and began studying with some of the most prominent acting teachers, including Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler and Jeff Corey. He has studied directing at UCLA and shot numerous short subject films.
His telefilm credits include the Jim and Tammy Faye Baker saga, Fall From Grace, and The Alamo: Thirteen Days to Glory, with Alec Baldwin and the late Raul Julia. Mr. Lindstrom also appeared in the successful daytime drama Santa Barbara, from 1985-86. Mr. Lindstrom took home the award for Best Supporting Actor at the Soap Opera Digest Awards in 2000.
Mr. Lindstrom's feature film credits include the HBO movie Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Point of Seduction, with Andrew Stevens and Morgan Fairchild, and Listen to Me, with Roy Scheider. A talented musician and drummer, Mr. Lindstrom has recorded an album, Feel Free to Do So, with his band, The High Lonesome, who performed at the 2000 ABC Super Soap Weekend in Orlando, Florida. He also completed a screenplay with fellow actor Thomas Schanley.
An active athlete, Mr. Lindstrom is a skilled scuba diver, an expert skier and has studied martial arts for a number of years. In addition to sports he enjoys traveling and has backpacked through much of Europe and the United States.
